For more than twenty years, our Bethesda office has been the home of The Greenspan Floortime Approach® — the developmental, relationship-based therapy model created by Dr. Stanley Greenspan. This is our main office: it is where our clinical team, our administrative team, our intake and scheduling coordinators, and our therapy rooms all live day-to-day. Whether your child needs one-to-one Floortime, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, social groups, a formal Greenspan assessment, or an intensive multi-week program. Everything happens under one roof, coordinated by a team that talks to each other every single day.

Individual Floortime Therapy

One-to-one, play-based sessions that meet your child at their developmental level and build the six core capacities of relating, thinking, and communicating.

Occupational Therapy (OT)

Sensory integration, fine and gross motor, self-regulation, and daily-living skills, delivered in a way that supports, not competes with, your child’s Floortime work.

Speech & Language Therapy (INSPIRE SLP)

Our proprietary speech-language program built on Greenspan/DIR principles, focused on genuine, back-and-forth communication rather than rote repetition.

Greenspan Assessments

Comprehensive developmental profiles that map your child’s unique sensory, motor, affective, and communication patterns, the foundation for every treatment plan.

TheraSchool™ and TheraCamp™ Programs

Intensive 8, 12, and 16 week social, therapeutic, and pre-academic programs.

Intensive Floortime Programs

One- and two-week immersive programs for out-of-town families or families who want concentrated progress on a specific developmental goal.

Parent Floortime Training & Coaching

In-person and hybrid coaching that turns parents into their child’s most powerful therapy partner.

By car: The office sits in the heart of downtown Bethesda, one block off Old Georgetown Road and a short walk from Bethesda Row. Coming from the Capital Beltway (I-495), take exit 34 for Wisconsin Avenue South, and Rugby Avenue is on your right about a mile in. From Washington D.C., take Wisconsin Avenue north through Friendship Heights.

By Metro: Approximately a five-minute walk from the Bethesda Metro Station on the Red Line. Exit toward Old Georgetown Road, walk north to Rugby Avenue, and turn right.

Parking: On-street metered parking plus Woodmont and Rugby public garages within a two-block walk.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

1. Book a call. A member of our intake team, based here in Bethesda, will spend 20-30 minutes learning about your child, your goals, and what has and hasn’t worked in the past.
2. Complete the intake paperwork. We’ll send our developmental questionnaire so we can walk in already knowing your child.
3. Come see us… FOR FREE. Your first visit is a chance for your child to meet a therapist, explore the room, and let us see how they play, regulate, and connect.
4. Get a plan. At the end of your in-person consultation, you will receive an outline of the program we feel is best for your child, which services, how often, and what to expect.

Is the Bethesda office your main location?

Yes. Bethesda is our flagship and main office. Our administrative team, scheduling, and billing work out of Bethesda, and (301) 657-1130 is our main line for both offices.

Do you offer intensives at the Bethesda office?

Yes. Our one- and two-week Intensive Floortime Programs are run out of the Bethesda office and welcome families from around the country.

Is the Bethesda office wheelchair accessible?

The Suite 100 entrance is at ground level and the office is fully accessible.

How far in advance should I book?

For assessments, we typically book two to four weeks out. For ongoing therapy, openings vary by clinician, call us and we’ll walk you through current availability.
